"My poetry speaks of life.
And sometimes life isn't
pretty. In life we encounter
the beautiful, the ugly, the
joyful and the sorrowful.

We encounter the angel
at moments of inspiration
and wrestle with him
during times of struggle and suffering."

-Armando Ibáñez

Armando Ibáñez, a priest in the Dominican Order of the Southern Dominican Province, published his first collection of poetry, Midday Shadows, in 1980. Over the years his poetry has been published in numerous publications, including The Double Dealer Redux, Aciendo Harte, and Ruah.
